Installed Escort Redline EX radar detector. I 3M taped it to the dash, to the left of the media screen, because I hate anything suctioned to my windshield.
I hard wired it to the rear fuse box with the Escort hardwire kit. I followed Jadar's writeup on f30.bimmerpost.com.
Installed AutoTecknic painted front side markers.
Installed BMW M Performance front lip. Right after some fun in the snow...
Installed Burger Tuning Polished Exhaust Tips and BMW M Performance rear diffuser. I blacked out the lower rear red reflectors too.
Swapped my tail lights for the LCI LED tail lights. I used the EAS wireup on f80.bimmerpost.com.
I swapped out the incandescent bulb fog lights for the BMW LCI LED fog lights. They are way brighter and match the headlight color temperature.
I installed the BMW M Performance pedal set.
I drive a lot so I unfortunately need to run a front plate. I installed this Skene slim licence place mount that I can easily unscrew at car shows.
Did a full wash, claybar, polish, and ceramic coating. It took about 6 hours but it came out amazing! Now when I wash it the dirt just slides off.
I also installed the BMW M Performance side skirt extensions in the process.
Since I drive a lot I wanted to have a spare tire that matched my BC Forged wheels rolling diameter. I found a 18" Cadillac CTS spare tire made by Modern Spare. It fits the BMW perfectly and it also doesn't look that bad. The tools all work too. I got it to fit in the truck, strapped to the back side, so I can still access my air management and have a usable trunk space.
Installed the P3 Multi-Gauge. It looks like it came from the factory!
Update: After installing the P3 gauge, I followed this guide to not have JB4 issues.
Installed the color matched BMW M Performance Rear Spoiler. It adds some good dimension to the trunk lid. +10HP
I got the front lip painted to match the car. Now it really looks like it is part of the bumper.
Installed rear bumper extension splitters in satin black to match the side skirt extensions and lower valance.
I swapped out the single slat kidney grills for double slat ones. Basically an M3 now ;)
I installed gloss black M3 style replacement mirror housings. They are just the outer plastics so the mirror and motor are still OEM quality.
The final results look good!
I installed the IND painted keyhole cover. A nice subtle touch.
Installed an aftermarket wireless Apple CarPlay module and BMW LCI illuminated radio trim!
Upgraded to the OEM digital gauge cluster. Now it's like I'm driving a space ship! Thanks to Bimmertech for helping me code it over the phone.
I finally found a clean set of OEM M3 front and rear seats!
I spend a good amount of time cleaning and conditioning the leather to make them look as new as possible. I also replaced the front seat emblems.
All the seats came out easy and I took the time to clean my whole interior before installing the M3 seats.
Here are my M Sport seats next to the M3 seats. You can really see the leather quality difference.
The final instal! They came out amazing and I love the way they look and feel. I even wired up the front seat emblems to light up using this tutorial and swapped the armrest to an M3 one to match the leather.
